This workshop is held in our private perfume lab on the westside of Bend. Join me for a 2.5-hour perfume blending workshop where you'll experience a journey of scent exploration. Sip wine, hand blended tea & eat chocolate with salt as you discover unique fragrances from Bend, the PNW, west coast and around the world. We discuss moments where our memories are sparked by scents and how to transform our own signature scent into a future memory.
Why do we use wine, tea, salt and chocolate? These four elements open the palette and increase our sense of taste and smell, all related to creating a unique blend of notes.
Our first hour is a guided note smelling & discussion session using tinctures and oils associated with floral, bark, and herbal growth. This guided session will use scent strips as we move through an array of notes.
From there, I will teach you the delicate process of blending, and creating your own perfume choosing among earthy, citrus and flower notes. You will have plenty of time to blend your formulas, test, blend again and then make your 10ml of perfume to take home.
Cost of workshop includes materials.

“The parts of the human brain that process emotions and memory are also responsible for the sense of smell, so it’s no wonder that scents such as soup bubbling on a stovetop or a fresh-cut rose can instantly conjure vivid memories. For Bend-based perfumer Kristine Ambrose, the power of scent has been life-altering.” - Bend Magazine
“we had a wonderful time in the workshop! we both wore our perfumes today: jasmine dragon (with notes of sweet pea, jasmine, ylang ylang and vanilla) and limitless (with notes of neroli, lavender, jasmine and vanilla ).” - justine & olivia, mother and daughter
